Health
Motiva continuously evaluates and identifies potential risks related to our operations that could affect our employees, contractors, or the communities in which we operate. In collaboration with local government agencies, nonprofits, and other private sector partners, we look for opportunities to support and participate in activities that prompt broad community involvement for sustaining healthy communities.
Gift of Life Screenings
In partnership with the Julie Rogers Gift of Life Program, Motiva has provided more than 700 preventative healthcare screenings to medically underserved men and women throughout Southeast Texas. Through free essential screenings, we empower the local community to take control of their health and wellbeing.
Safety
At Motiva, safety is at the forefront of everything we do as a company. We are committed to fostering a culture of positive safety excellence for our employees and ensuring safe and reliable operations for the communities where we operate.
Motiva First Responder Grant Program
The Motiva First Responder Grant Program assists emergency response organizations in communities that host Motiva facilities. The program awards grants of up to $10,000 for safety equipment, professional training, or safety education programs to organizations invited to apply, including fire departments, police departments, and emergency management organizations. Since the program was introduced in 2021, Motiva has provided grant awards totaling more than $434,000.

Protecting our Underground Infrastructure
Pipeline Safety
Motiva maintains a robust pipeline public awareness program, educating community members on pipeline safety through mailers and meetings. We reach more than nearly 13,000 stakeholders annually.
Environment
Motiva strives to protect the environment through responsible business practices and an effective environmental management system. We are committed to providing reliable, affordable energy while minimizing our environmental impacts.
We partner with organizations that advance conservation efforts and continuously seek opportunities to make a difference in our local community through environmental volunteerism and community engagement events.
Gulf of Mexico Alliance
As a Gulf of Mexico Alliance partner, Motiva is committed to enhancing the environmental and economic health of the Gulf Coast region. We support ecological projects throughout Texas and Florida that educate local youth about marine life preservation.
Coastal Conservation Association
In 2023, Motiva donated $25,000 to the Coastal Conservation Association to build artificial reefs in the Southeast Texas Gulf Coast, reflecting our dedication to environmental stewardship and restoring habitats for marine life.
