Our base oils cater to a wide range of customers and needs and can be used in the manufacturing of automotive, industrial, and functional lubricants that meet even the highest performance specifications. Motiva's base oils are hydrotreated, Isomdewaxed, and hydrofinished to produce high VI, water-white paraffinic lube oils. The very low sulfur content of our base oils makes them an ideal blend stock for modern low sulfated ash, phosphorous, and sulfur (Low SAPS) engine oil formulations.

Largest Base Oil Plant in the Western Hemisphere
Motiva’s Port Arthur Manufacturing Complex is the site of the largest base oil plant in the Western Hemisphere, operating three lube hydroprocessing units that use Motiva-patented unit designs to upgrade heavy gas oils into high-quality premium base oils.
Motiva produces aramcoPRIMA and aramcoULTRA, high-performance, premium Group II and Group III base oils, in addition to aramcoPRIMA 60 -- tailored for light viscosity applications. With a world-class sales and supply logistics team, Motiva consistently fulfills Group II and Group III needs in the Americas and around the world.

Our aramcoULTRA Group III base oils can be used in applications that require high performance and efficiency, such as high-performance engine oils, automatic/manual transmission fluids, and long-life industrial fluids.
aramcoPRIMA 60
Our aramcoPRIMA 60 is ideal for very light-viscosity specialty applications such as transformer oils and automatic transmission fluid -- specialized applications where low pour point and good seal conditioning are at a premium.
