Brenda Allen became Vice President, Health, Safety, Security & Environmental in January 2023. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, Brenda oversees the safety and environmental operation of Motiva's assets on an enterprise-wide level to ensure complete understanding throughout the business.

She brings nearly 30 years of experience in safety, security, and environmental management to the position. Brenda joined Motiva in 2001 at the Port Arthur Refinery in Port Arthur, Texas and has held a variety of positions in the environmental, compliance, health, safety, and security space. Brenda also held a global leadership role within Shell, where she was responsible for environmental management of Shell's manufacturing sites across the world.

Brenda serves as corporate secretary for the Health, Safety, and Environmental Committee of Motiva's Board of Directors. The committee assists the Board with oversight of health, safety, and environmental management, including regulatory compliance.

She holds a bachelor's degree in geology from Lamar University and a master’s degree in geology, with an emphasis in hydrogeology, from Oklahoma State University.

Brenda and her husband Conly have been married for 30 years and have two children. In their free time, they enjoy spending time with family and traveling.
