Motiva has a simple framework that clearly lays out what we expect from our suppliers. They must commit to either our Business Principles or equal standards in their own activities and sub-contracting. It’s also essential they provide their workers with a dedicated whistle-blowing mechanism to confidentially report grievances.

Supplier Principles

Business Integrity
Contractors and suppliers comply with all applicable laws and regulations. They do not tolerate bribery, corruption or unethical practices, while avoiding conflict of interest and supporting fair competition.

Health, Safety and Environment (HSE)
Contractors and suppliers are committed to protecting the environment in compliance with all applicable environmental laws and regulations. They will endeavor to use energy and natural resources as efficiently as possible. Similarly, they’ll continually look for ways to minimize waste, emissions and discharge of their operations, products and services. They will also comply with our Life-Saving Rules.

Local Community
Contractors and suppliers respect their neighbors and contribute to the communities in which they operate.

Contractors and suppliers comply with all applicable laws and regulations on freedom of association and collective bargaining. They do not tolerate discrimination, harassment or retaliation and provide a safe, secure and healthy workplace. Wages and benefits will meet or exceed the national legal standards and comply with all applicable laws and regulations on working hours.
